This fall, come one, come all! The Paris fellowship will host the Fall Retreat 2010 on October 29-31 in Mittelwihr (near Colmar, France) on the eastern side of the Vosges Mountains. EUU retreats take place over a long weekend, when Unitarian Universalists from all over Europe gather at a family-friendly location to stay together and share meals and activities for two action-packed days. We are hoping to see many Paris-based UUs at the retreat this fall. Many people drive to retreats, but train travel can be very reasonable if you book in advance. Please note that you can’t book more than three months in advance in France, so your earliest booking date is July 29th. (See travel information from Maggie Goodwin below.) At every retreat we have an invited theme speaker and we are all looking forward to meeting and hearing from the Rev. Peter Morales, President of the UUA, who will be our Fall Retreat theme speaker. Before Morales election, he served as the senior minister at a Unitarian Church in Golden Colorado, one of the UUA’s largest and fastest growing congregations. Before entering the ministry, Morales was a Fulbright lecturer in Spain, a newspaper editor and publisher in Oregon, a Knight International Press Fellow in Peru and a regional manager in California state government. Elected on a platform of growth and multiculturalism, public witness is central to Rev. Morales’ presidency. He has chosen to speak to us on 'Building a Religion Beyond Belief,' which undoubtedly will be thought provoking and inspiring. To get a preview of Rev. Morales's theme talk, read his article 'The 'It' Church,' from the Spring issue of UU World, at http://www.uuworld.org/life/articles/158390.shtml speaker: Rev. Peter Morales
